Today was my endurance workout which is low intensity for high duration. Today I ran for 2 hours and 15 minutes which was 5 minutes faster than I ran the same course the last time I ran it. I also challenged myself by running it in reverse. This put the Staircase of Death and large hill more toward the end of my run than the beginning. Again, I cut down on time and honestly felt better at the end than I have ever before.
I credit this progress to my strength training and my VO2 max days. I do need to become a better runner and there are running specific muscles that I need to exercise but truth be told only running once a week is probably better for me than anything else.
