Killed it today. Only did 40 minutes and was not able to do my last sets of Step Ups but I gave full effort on everything else and could barely walk when I left the gym. I also did more sets than scheduled for Goblet Squats and Side Lunges since I was trying to find my max for 5 reps.
Warm Up:
Leg Routine - 1st set is low weight to warm up and focus on form. Sets 2 - 5 are for max weight for 5 reps each.
Notes / Results:
- Time: 40 minutes. Stopped when I couldn’t do anymore.
- Weight: 198.
- Goblet Squat
- Previous high: 6@70 pounds. Goal: 100
- Sets: 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90 **could have gone to 95 but someone else was using those dumbbells
- Side Lunge
- Previous high: 6@40 Goal: 60
- Sets: 35, 40, 45, 50, 55
- Forward & Reverse Lunges
- Previous high: 5@40 Goal: 50
- Sets: 10kg, 12kg, 4@16kg, 16kg (used kettlebells instead of dumbbells) Not sure about the 40 pounds from previous high if that was total or each hand. 16kg is 35 pounds in each hand and that was a little tough. Doubt that I doubled that in a previous session.
- Step Ups
- Previous high: 45 Goal: 50
- Did not do it this time.
