Snow Shoveling, Arms & Shoulders @ Gym with 3 Rounds Tabata Finisher

My arms are burning after this one. Yesterday was a rest day from the gym but I ended up shoveling snow twice for about 20 minutes each time during the day. I also shoveled snow for another 20 minutes before walking through a foot of snow for a half a mile just to get to the gym. The fact that I did my workout along with 2 rounds of Tabata focusing on Core with another round of Tabata doing Chin Ups, Dips and Pull Ups makes me feel dedicated.

Warm Up:

Arms & Shoulders Routine - Do 10 reps at half weight to warm up and establish proper form, then 5 sets of 5 reps each at max weight.


Core Tabata
  • Sit Ups with 10 pound plate
  • Elevated Feet Mason Twists with 20 pound dumbbell
  • V-Ups with 12kg kettlebell
  • Crossover fingers to knees with 10 pound plate

  • Time: 55 minutes
  • Weight: 198
  • Incline Dumbbell Curl
    • Previous high: 3@ 40 Goal: 50
    • Sets: 40, 45, 45, 3@50, 3@50
  • Dumbbell Shoulder Press
    • Previous high: 3@45 Goal: 50
    • Sets: 35, 40, 3@45, 2@45/3@40,3@45
  • Dumbbell Overhead Triceps Extension
    • Previous high: 3@45 Goal: 50
    • Sets: 35, 40, 45, 45, 40
  • Lateral Raise
    • Previous high: 30 Goal: 40
    • Sets: 25, 30, 3@35, 30, 35
  • Tabata Finisher - 1 round of Core Tabata, 1 round of Chin Ups, Dips, Pull Ups, another round of Core Tabata
