Hit may max here and only increased weight on one exercise. That is okay. Time needs to be better and I won’t mention my weight battle. Thinking that the long term strategy is to let my body adjust to the increase in intensity between exercises (adding 5 pound weight to sit ups, 8 pound dumbbells to burpees, toes to bar & towel pull ups) and then my times should improve.
Warm Up:
Chest/Back Routine - 15 reps 1st circuit, 12 reps for 2nd, 10 reps for 3rd, 8 reps for 4th, 6 reps for 5th moving up in weight on each circuit. Do 5 circuits.
Incorporate 10 core reps in between each set and 10 burpees (w/ 8 pounds dumbbells in each hand) at the end of each circuit:
Notes / Results:
- Weight: 202
- Time: 75 minutes. 5 minutes longer than last time
- Incline Bench Press - max 6 reps @ 155 (55 each side + bar) on 5th circuit. Thought that I was ready to move up in weight but that did not prove to be the case. Could only do 4 reps @ 155 on 4th circuit but came back to do all 6 on 5th.
- Underhand Lateral Pull Downs - max 6 reps @ 195 on 5th circuit. Holding here.
- Decline Dumbbell Flys -max 6 reps @ 40 on 5th circuit. Matched a previous high (again) but not ready to advance weight here yet.
- Single Arm Dumbbell Row - max 4 reps @ 75 on 5th circuit. increased weight on this. Last time I couldn’t do any 75s so this is progress.
