Abbreviated Leg Day

Complete shit show at the gym this morning. Probably because I need to get to work early so I went to the gym early and ran into all of the other people who have to get to work early on a regular basis. The power rack was occupied so I didn’t go heavy on my squats and the boxes were occupied so my glutes got a respite from dumbbell step ups. I threw in some pull ups, dips, chin ups, monkey bars and leg ups into my finisher. Overall, made progress with heavier weights on my deadlift and heavier weight on the high rep sets on my squats. #progressiveoverload

Warm Up:

Leg Routine - Switched to a reps per set of 20 / 15 / 10 / 5 / 3

  • Time: 45 minutes
  • Weight: 192

  • Deadlift - Stepped it up in weight on the lower rep sets and can continue to go higher.
    • Previous High: 5@275
    • Sets: 20@135*, 15@155, 10@185*, 5@205*, 3@225*
  • Squats - Stepped it up in weight on the lower rep sets and can continue to go higher.
    • Previous High:3@165
    • Sets: 20@45*, 15@65*, 10@85*, 5@115*, 3@135*
  • Finisher:
    • 30 Burpees
    • 4 pull ups
    • 5 dips
    • 5 chin ups
    • 2x across monkey bars (no rest - turned around)
    • 3 leg ups
